This work track covers tools that support Data Governance processes, providing tools and services to allow an organization to effectively manage their data as an organizational asset. This work covers everything from tools developed to track and notify changes in key metrics through managing organizational definitions and business questions. This track is focused around tools that enable organizations to develop and manage a consistent understanding of their organizational data.
Metadata Beta for Members
As part of our DW/ODS service offering we are including a tool to track and manage the metadata of data that is being managed through the system. These tools will allow end users to capture data lineage information as well as managing business definitions. In Quarter 4 we will have an event around Metadata management that includes a limited review release to Dxtera membership.
Initial Customer POC: Business Questions
This Proof-of-Concept is focused around managing business questions and tying those questions to business specific data, metrics, and models.
Initial Customer POC: Business Rules (Monitoring and Integrity)
This POC is focused on capturing all of the pertinent metadata for your institution and tracking trends and changes within. This will include: Notifications based of data falling into/out of a specified data boundaries, exception tracking for anomalies, and trend tracking to identify changes over time,
Demo: Hierarchy Integration Management
Based off of the work in the Data Warehouse: Initial Customer POC: Ontologies/Customer Hierarchies, this work will be a limited engagement focused on real-world use cases such as: linking the HR/Finance and Academic Organizational Hierarchies, managing organizational changes (moving a department, adding or removing a department, and managing the associated user relationships.
Demo: Ontologies/Customer Hierarchies
Based off of the work in the Data Warehouse: Initial Customer POC: Ontologies/Customer Hierarchies, this work will be a limited engagement focused on allowing organizations to define, build, and manage custom hierarchies and mapping for their school, department, lab or course. Examples of this work include: Custom tagging for key classes, specialized relationships for particular student/organization relationships, and custom banding for tracking the relationship between subsets of students, course or organizations.
