DXtera and Smart Republic Create Joint Venture, SmartCampus

BOSTON, MA — November 10, 2020 — DXTERA INSTITUTE and SMART REPUBLIC are pleased to announce the launch of the International Joint Venture Company SMART CAMPUS, based in Paris, France. Through this Joint Venture Company, both parties will unite their efforts in these critical times to face technology and sustainability challenges in the fields of education technology, smart social services, social impact, impact investment tools, and through the creation of a new global, federative, and open sustainable social knowledge network.

The Smart Campus platform is designed to serve as a social network for defining and navigating knowledge taxonomies and learning pathways with the goal of addressing sustainable practices through global awareness and education. Its architecture is modular and federative and can be repurposed to support other knowledge domains such as urban and rural development, impact investment, decentralized service platforms, and educational activities.

By creating the Smart Campus Joint Venture, DXtera and Smart Republic aim to contribute to charting new forms of sustainable collaboration with a growing community of global partners contributing creative thoughts and deeds to make 2021 a pivotal year for innovation and recovery.

Both parties will create Smart Campus to affirm its support to United Nations and multilateral agency-sponsored initiatives devoted to furthering the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) as well as joint support to other convergent initiatives in the fields of sustainable education, smart social services, impact investment, tracking solutions, telecommunications and efforts to create a new global, federative, and open Sustainable Social Network.
